hard to say really but i guess it took me around 15-18k arrows until skill 90

i might add that when i reached archery 90
--> spirited archer (faster) is still at 1,0 (bugged),
--> sharpshooter (more dmg) ist at 40 and
--> veteran archer at about 70
How much damage are you doing with bow at 90skill?

Weapon skill doesn't affect damage output, unless you have the appropriate purchased skill. This game is all about gear. Whether people realize it or not.

I dont think it makes any difference wether you hit target or not

Seems to me that you get faster skill gains from shooting into destructible buildings/mobs/players than you do from shooting into the air/npc buildings/the ground.
Not sure as I have not tested it yet.

So hold on, at what level can you purchase the passive skills and how much do they cost?
I read previously that you got two at 50 (faster draw time and less stamina) and one at 75 (increased damage) but thats seems totally different to what you posted.

You whiners should try magic. Greater Magic 25-50, 4,000 reagents. Then try elemental, where even basic spells cost two reagent, and you'll never complain about your wussy arrows again.

Or crafting... that is the most boring route to take. I tried making an all-crafter character. Never making that mistake again without having a second account -snooze- But thats what the best crafter will be like. Only +Wisdom skills, with GM up to 50 after he hits the soft cap.

How much more dmg does sharpshooter do?, and what does veteran do?

Veteran decreases stam cost of shooting. Seems like it reduces stam cost by % skill/4.

There wasn't in beta, so i doubt they added anything since.

I heard a rumor that there's 3 active attacks for archery as well, though no knockback. Probably lots of hot air, since nobody I know actually found anything of the sort.

No it isn't. It's 10 casts per 0.1 from 25 through the mid 30s.

so can i skill up shooting the wall or do i need to go to my spawn point, and round up my buddies, and shoot noobs?

0.1 skillgain for every 40-50 arrows @ 70 archery
Feels like I need around 70-80 arrows per 0.1 skillgain at 48-49 skill now.... but haven't tried it that much, shoot about 300 arrows in the air and gained 0.4-0.5
