if arrows/range are not blocked it should slow the attackers down or stun them momentarly. why?

archery:
-accuracy from defenders = better chance of fighting off attackers
-if your running into battle and getting hit by arrows you would slowdown
-id like to see a rappid shot ability which speeds up arrow shooting 100% for the cost of stamana

even if you where to make the slow shot a special ability where the archer must be standing still that would work well in chases archer has to sacrafice his speed to attempt to hit with a slow/stun.

magic:
-magic abilitys should have a small knock back on their aoe attacks if the attacker is not blocking.

these abilitys/changes can be ignoared by blocking! so theirs no real excuse for any imbalances it will bring to gameplay.

Only as long as getting hit by a melee weapon slows you down as well because getting hit with a mace when you are running would slow you down better then an arrow.

No snares. Anywhere. In the whole damn game. Quit asking for shit like this.

Roots, Stuns, and Snares will not be in DF. Straight from the mouths of the devs.

no because they have to be standing still to shoot a snare shot and even then the target can straff and block it... this change is only affecting dumb people who dont block therefore adding more depth and skill to the horrid combat system inplace.

Who does this improve gameplay for? Archers at the expense of melee? Why the hell should they do that? Have they changed something in the last few hours because last time i played Archers are a powerful playstyle in PvP already and melee is not overpowered.

While you might like using CC no one likes getting hit by it and it is a son of a bitch to balance. It is only enjoyable for the person using it at the expense of the person being hit with it. That is why it is not in and will not be in.

Here i changed out snare shot to instant kill because having to stand still and the fact that the target can dodge makes everything balanced right?

Tho it would be nice to see some kinda foot shot snare with arrows, or a spell that causes slow movement... i totally agree. CC is lame and noone likes it. However if it ever does get implimented dont make it retarded. Make it so you slow down only a little bit. Like running in sand
