I know the current one is a place holder and I know they are making a new one.

Some things I would like to see are:


-Removable notes
- Zoomable (to a very minor degree)
- Names on certain locations when moused-over.
- Better Compass.

Add any other suggestions you have.

I would be happy if the annotations you can add right now would last past a server patch. Well that and zoom.

Add that we like to make our own marks on map anyway at the map..without the need to be actually there. and with mouse clicking on the map..not with /command_ADD etc. already too many commands..

yeah, it's pretty sad that a 3rd party site has a much better map than the actual game has.

there should not even be any maps. I don't understand, you people keep crying for a hardcore game, want universal banks and stuff, but you can't do without a map?
I played EverQuest for 3 years and there was no map, all you could do was remember the place like in real life, and as a compass, you had to raise the "sense heading" skill which took as long as a skill to raise in DF.
It would be better to simply giveup the map.
