Attainment of items should be easyer.. With the nodes now being global it has made this problem 3x harder.. They are really pushing us into PvP and it is a PvP game and there should be risk.. But on the same note no one wants to fight naked and no one wants to mine ore for 3+ hours to make a suit to go out fighting for an hour and lose it.. Crafting Vs Fun Factor..

And to the posts that are going to follow..
"Then dont lose it" A: You lose your shit too and you hate it and the only ones not loseing their shit have 50 friends rolling around with them where skill dosent matter...

"I think the change was good" A: again your rolling around with a number of friends rolling people with less numbers.. If you wanted to do any kind of crafting you wouldnt like it.. Its a bane to all crafters..

And to all the other people who talk big.. thats just what it is.. talk.. trying to sound important when you dont like the changes either..

I actually disagree even though i'm mainly into crafting. By making it easy and/or fun you will automatically ruin the market and push prices for everything down a lot.

No Pain, No Gain.

Its pretty easy. When a feature or a system in a game sucks you simply look for the macros. If everyone macros crafting or harvesting its because they dont enjoy it 99% of the time. Games are supposed to be fun. When the entire system is nothing but macro users who would rather surf then be atk you know its fucked. As it sits crafting and harvesting in this game is not only an insane grind but its the most boring shit I have ever done in an online game and close to being the most boring thing I have done when compared to RL exp. Its right up there with counting specs on my wallpaper.

Pain? The idea is to find new and inventfull ways to provide enjoyment. People dont pay monthly subs to be annoyed and have a bad time. They pay those subs for enjoyment and entertainment. It wouldnt hurt for some inovative ideas. I dont have any so I cant realy add to that but I am sure there are some that are not to difficult. This game sets a new standard in many ways. No reason crafting cant be one.

Attainment shold not be easier I think but the latest change kills and total screws any independant crafter. It now a case of join the zerg clans or just go hack and slash cause you cannot get the mats in the quantity you need to do any decent amount of leveling making low level junk no one want just to be able to FINALLY have a chance at making things people do want.

If they change anything it should be the % chance of success. You should always have a chance at making Bone Armour even if tailoring is on 10% (although getting to 25 is not that hard in the game and everyone needs bags to sort thier bank).

At 25% give us 82% to make a bag and 8% to make a Bone Armour piece. That will keep people TRYING to improve. But stuck at one end of the tunnel with NO light at the end will just totally discourage anyone not in huge clans. No solo ability at all the way things are now.

I love it, and i know alot of crafters enjoy it, if you don't, don't craft.

Now shut up and go play wow

You must realize that you go out and lose it but then someone else gets it, assuming you took it out to PvP. Since item degradation is very slow, in the end if your K: D ratio isn't awful you won't spend all that much time farming for gear. So I fundamentally disagree with the OP; making crafting less time-consuming will cause mass devastating deflation.

I do think crafting and gathering should be made more fun to do, though.

An alternative would be to speed up crafting a bit and gathering but then massively increase weapon and armor decay.

See the problem is that this game isent a deathmatch.. Not alot of 1v1.. so skill dosent matter as much as the number of people you have with you.. and that in turn makes it like an RTS game, once you start winning its a snowball effect.. and if things keep going to way it is we will end up with one super power on the server with the numbers to dominate everything and dictate who can do what.. And then most people will leave..

I think it should be even more difficult, I think the items you use should effect the outcome and stats of an item.
