I would like to suggest adding some type of accuracy to the game. Have you ever played a FPS game that took into account accuarcy of the weapon and movement of the player? Makes a big difference. In this game you can carry the big weapon while running as fast as you can with no negative effect to your accuracy.

Of course some might say that the faster you run the less likly you will hit the player. Not so in this game. There are two hit boxes.
One in the front the other in the back, not to tough to aim at that IMHO.

Lets take a common problem and see if this would work. You have an Alfar that can out run a human. They are both wearing heavy armor and using polearms. The Alfar has the advantage of running circles around the human while swinging wildly and usally ends up winning the fight.

Now if you take into effect the total wieght of the player and the run speed and use that data to determine where that swing or shot (if using bow or magic) would hit. ALso Use the crosshairs as a visual indicator. The tighter the crosshair the more accuarate your shot or swing would be.

Dont know how hard it would be to make this in the game. But it would seem to fix some of the problems we have been having.

I don't understand what the problem is you are talking about.

I'd love to give a constructive comment but i really don't understand what you are saying.

He's trying to discourage PvP from becoming a cluster-fuck where people run around like mad men swinging.

Yes that is what I'm trying to do. This has nothing to do with taking anything away from twitch skills. Matter of fact I believe it would improve the challenge.

I give it less than 2 months before people get bored just running around in circles spaming the left click like a freaking idiot. And when that begins to happen (which I think it already has) players are going to range only and give up on melee fighting.

And for those who think spamming the left click takes skills should stop playing DF and go play this http://www.kongregate.com/games/Slasher145/speed-click its cheaper too.
