The idea is you have to figuire out the Recipe for yourself. Recipes are going to be heavily Guarded secrets between guilds.

Though I have not yet dabbled in enchanting, I read on a Clan's forum that if you place a magical item in the enchanting box/slot, you will see the formula to make said item. Can someone test this out?

So today in vent one of our smarter players stumbled onto how to unlock enchanting recipes. I offered to trade the knowledge on the Darkfall forum but after a couple posts decided to just go ahead and make it public for any that don't know.

Step 1: Obtain magic item
Step 2: Place magic item in the enchanting container to discover the recipe
Step 3: Obtain mats
Step 4: Enjoy!

place an enchanted item in the bench and it will tell you the recipes!

Ichor is a skinning drop from among others, Dire Zombies/ skeleton Warriors and Archers

Yes reverse engineering works as well instead of wasting catalysts and mats.

Place the magick item in the enchanter and then go gather the mats.

The catalysts are not that rare and when you find a sursprisingly strong mob that does not drop any loot then use your skinning knife, it may be a "catalyst" mob.

Skinning is your friend and make at least 2 attempts to skin the mob if the first one fails until its grave dissapears.

Yes you skin tombstones. Funny in a way and as many times as the stone is visible.

THEY say that Arakathar gives Shadowcrest and Dim Stormrune.

Vampires give shadow crests.

dim stormrunes come from several mobs, mainly undead.

Skeleton Archers and Skeleton Warrior are 2 i found them on as well.
