DO not Hijack suggestion threads please.
Just start creating our own fake patch notes. They will soon learn that its easier the have offical ones then let the community create fake ones.
So add things like:
Mahirim can now run on four legs using sunweed.

Agreed. Still don't have any official word on siege hammers not working on clanstones as a bug or a feature. No word on when stats and skills that do nothing (Quickness, Int, Run, Swim, Rest) will be fixed. No word on broken skills (Armor Mastery has a blank requirement, Bowyer Mastery is missing, Acrobatics requires jump skill, which still isn't in the game).... I don't think I need to go on.

Dear Aventurine,
First of all, I'd like to say that during beta the patching response time and the frequency of patch releases was very impressive, and although I do not have a retail account yet, I've heard that its been much of the same. However, we are missing something we had during beta, official Patch Notes. During Beta those of us that were lucky enough to get in were blessed with *almost* complete and up to date Patch Notes, which allowed us as beta testers to actually look and TEST the things that were being tweaked and changed. Now that Darkfall Online is live, patching is still being done on a very regular basis, but now we don't really know what is being added, changed, tweaked, etc.
Now that the Forums have been updated, which is also very well done, it would be beneficial to both the player base and to you as the developers to post official patch notes here. This would then allow the players to start to more effectively test and respond to the changes made in patches, and communication between these two parties will better facilitate positive progress for Darkfall Online.
Please, give the player base patch notes back. I understand that it takes time out of one of the devs hands, or maybe the responsibility could be given to a Community Staff member, but I really do think that it would be very beneficial and help DFO evolve in a positive direction. Thank You for creating an astounding game and world to adventure in, I can't wait to get into retail and be involved in this community for years to come.

I would be happy with the vague notes from beta. I just would like to know that there has been a change in how something works. You don't even have to tell me what the change is just that it has been changed.

Patch notes are like, an almost necessary thing these days. It helps players focus on what is fixed, still needs fixing or might still be a problem and communicate it to the dev.
From the few threads I have read thus far, it seems like communication is one way. Top to bottom, and coming down isn't all it could be either.
They should take a chapter from Valve's book.
Be open, communicate! Help us help you and this game could really be something great. Don't listen to publishers or anyone else who is making you guys add in care bear mechanics.

Just goes to show how many people have SUGGESTIONs.
If they labeled this section "Whine here!" with just 1400 users online you would see 1700 in here, trust me. :D
A lot of people may have some decent suggestions too, but far to many people are worried about getting labeled a "whiner" these days for offering any input. :(
Tis a shame the idea of expressing yourself and freedom of opinion has gone the way of the dodo cause people have to label others.

I'd like to see patch notes, but nothing specific, part of the fun is to be surprised by a mob casting a spell it never cast before or do something it wouldn't according to your experience.
I don't wanna know things like sword x now gives a 0.5% better chance of hitting, the mystery about how stuff works is part of the fun imho.

No they should definatly make it so if you want patch notes, you have to first get a rare key drop from the dragon on the main website. This key unlocks a chest found randomly on the outer most part of the map and is guarded by 640 fire/ice agronauts that all kill in one hit. Then in order to open that chest you have to pay 500,000,000 gold and you have a 99.9% chance of failing to open the chest(breaking the key, taking your gold, and killing your mom of course). Now if you succeed you get a blank peice of papper and have to go to all of the dungeons in game to collect peices the hundreds of peices of a feeble medieval printing slab that when created does 800 duribitlity from all your current armor and weapons, all of your gear in your bank, and all gear you ever get, and kills your entire family. Now that you have the feeble medieval printing slab and the papper when you use them to make the patch notes, every single person on the server is spawned at your location and your computer explodes. Once you log back on, kill everyone in the server, and reloot your patch notes and click to read it, it says and i quote "U NED 2 GEET LAID LOLZ, Signed Aventurine." And after that, a huge arrow is displayed above your head, your location is marked on the world map for everyone, you become red permentitly, everyone has the option to teleport to you, and you constently PM everyone on the server lame 'your mother' jokes automaticly, so you get griefed every second of your life. Also your price to play goes up to $150 a day and your girlfriend cheats on you with Tasos.
