That about the time Bush got elected, 9/11 happened. While when Obama gets elected, the economy crashes.
Two huge events that allow our elected leaders to push their own private agendas.
Thats ok, I have stock in KY. I like cherry.
No, I don't.
Both of them got lucky, would something else have happend in favour for another presidental canidate, wouldn't that seem fishy then aswell?
Ofcourse people will chose the canidate that seems moast apropiet at the time.

Yes it's so weird that the economy was in tip top shape before Obama took office. (You're a retard)

No, but it did help him get elected.

Do you recognize the names "Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac" ???

It's not ironic, it's not a coincidence either. Bush caused 9/11 in order to transform America into a police state and Obama ruined the economy in order to bring about a new socialist order.

As long as you buggers become more socialistic I'm all for him,

9/11 happened after Bush was elected. Obama was elected during the recession.

Am I the only one who when they see the phrase 'isnt it Ironic' gets Alanis Morrisette tune running through their heads?
Yeah thats why they gave Obama the presidency, they had no money, no job and no work, ideal vacancy for a black american to walk into...
*wonder what comes next, Americas first female president or Americas first Transvestite President?*

I'm still waiting for America's first 'good' president.

Thats Abe Lincoln surely?
he was good for catching bullets? JFK tried but lost his head at a critical moment

It's not ironic but I believe his point was that both presidents were lucky and got some sort of overblown disaster around the beginning of their presidency which gave/will give them free hands to push through whatever bullshit they want.
I guess it's reasonable that everyone got offended by the OP because for liberals Obama is as untouchable and beyond criticism as Bush was for conservatives when he started.
I think the Bush era was more tolerable, liberals are the majority in the internet so everyone was making fun Bush and it was entertaining but now there's just an awkward silence pertaining to the president.
Kind of like there's an awkward silence pertaining to Darkfall on these forums, as the game sucks but it's not politically correct to say so.

Lincoln is hardly admirable if you look closer than the schoolbook story. There isn't a single president that didn't do his part of the fascist shit, pressured to do so by democracy and requirements of the time he was living in for sure, but wrong none the less.

Well first this is the OT forums so if you want to slate Darkfall, do it in the GD forums, there are plenty who do.
Secondly the reason Bush was the subject of ridicule is because he was ridiculous. I don't agree with everything Obama's done so far but at least he has a shred of intelligence about him.
And finally why do Americans have to describe everything as 'ironic'?

Sorry I am an 80's taught child, and also English, so our history tended to involves one of the following
1) Victorians
2) Tudors
3) World War 2
oh 4) The Royal Navy (normally a quick skim over trafalgar etc)
To be honest I spent most of my time in the education system staring at girls boobs cos
1) they looks fucking great
2) I had never touched one before
3) I wanted to touch one
So as you cn see, anything pertaining to history in the UK during the 80's tended to be a bunch of shit we would never use again in the real world, I mean at what point are we going to be crowing and boasting about the tudors or the victorians
I could have used that time in the 80's studying a second language or something, kids these days dont know how lucky they have it

Oh boy, this is going to get me crucified for not seeing Bush as devil incarnate, but proved to be a very strong leader, tracked those responsible to Afghanistan(the fighting there it seems no one had trouble with), and massively increased the number of jobs after the econ blew up.

And those in Afghanistan fled to Pakistan while you were shafting Saddam Hussain in Iraq. Also most of the western world are running around shouting 'Terrorist!!' everytime they see a turban.
All in all, 9/11 was a huge success. Bush did nothing special to quell the widespread panic. Instead he caused more by publicly going in to a controversal war which would sprout more conspiracy theories than JFK's assination.
Hows that for a non-crucifixionated reply?

It's less pants on head stupid than most Bush bashing posts, but still fairly vague and disappointing.

This is a typical liberal response. Namecalling with no real points or constructive conversation.
Atleast when I bash Bush the conservative neocon's would try and refute my points with some type of empirical evidence. But Obama sheep are just too butthurt when someone tries make a point against him.

There was absolutely nothing liberal or otherwise implied in the reply.

No, but his tone suggested it. I know this because any time I see any post that is even remotely critical of Obama, those are the type of responses you will see in 70% of the replies.
"You fucktard"
"Your a moron"
"OP is an idiot, how dare he be critical of Obama".
etc.

I think you're being a bit zealous there. He was calling you a fucktard because you compared the two situations and described them as 'ironic' when..
a)The situations are different
b)They're more unlucky (or lucky, depending what points you're focusing on).
