Marching upon the skulls of the dead the battle worn dwarf pressed on. Stumbling among the corpses he leaned on his ripped WARFORGED clan battle standard. His hammer hilt had broken days before in battle. An Ogre

In the distance a wounded dwarf heard one of his brothers calling. He had lost his horn in the first day of the battle when his regiment had been flanked, and mostly destroyed so he could not call back. The old white bearded Dwarf slowly began limping toward the sound. Kragg the Grim was his name, a Dwarf who had seen far too many of his brothers slain, and mercy was no longer part of his vocabulary.

The unavoidable aroma of death and despair hung grimly over the field, accompanied by the stagnant air that stank of the hate and blood that coursed through the ground. Mutilated corpses litter the area, leaving any witness to question the existence of survivors.

Among the corpses one dwarf is dragged to consciousness by the nightmares of battle.

Vikael moans as he regains what is left of his faculties and stumbles as he rises. He is met only by the destruction the battlefield has to offer. He is thrown into a state of panic upon recalling the battle, as he fumbles for his axe he is met with the stale, wet feeling of only his cloak, battered and bloodsoaked over his back. He quickly searches for his beloved axe. As he heaves it out of the back of an ogre beside him, his thoughts turn to his brethren.

Brooomiiiinnnnn

...

Brooominnnnn

...

Broomiiiinnnn

...

Bromiiinnnnnnnnn

Perhaps there are survivors after all. Comforted by this thought, Vikael shoulders his axe and slowly makes his way towards what he can only hope is a dwarven companion and not a clever foe looking for a fight.

Hearing the dwarves horns a local goblin tribe descends on the battlefeild, slaughtering the handful of dwarves through shear numbers. The end.

The four Dwarves met in the middle of the war zone. Thanking Ymir they together bowed in thanks. Sharing broth and food they rested.

"smell that ?" one dwarf said

"yes..goblins miles away, maybe closer" another quickly spoke...

"we dont have much time !! "

The four Dwarves began digging under the earth. One began chatting a song to Ymir. Within minutes the four Dwarves had dug under the earth roughly a five foot deep by six feet wide hole. Above the hole they slid a cover made of dead corpses and other artifacts of war.

They could hear the goblin scouts snorting and growling over them. Then came the goblin war tribe. the drums made their ears bleed. The stench of goblin scum their nose clinch. Many hours seem to pass then silence came.

After the silence Barabas stood up in their underground bunker. Smoking up his dwarvern mithril pipe he slowly began to inhale. Exhaling and a deep but calm voice Barabas spoke remembering the words of Ole' Master Sargent Simeron Steelhammer ,""He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot, will be victorious lad ."

Barabs woke his three brothers who were resting in sleep. "lets go"

" we dont have much time to find wounded brohers before the predatorial vultures come"

Or Perhaps he needs to go back and Grab some of his Brothers so at least if/when he dies he can die bringing as many Wretched Smelling Goblins down with Him as Dwarvenly Possible.

Never Question a Dwarves Bravery, Cause it'd be a Silly Question.
