You guys use any specific software for overclocking on your gpu's and cpu's?

I know there's rivatuner, the ati's ccc for gpu's, but I know nothing about cpu oc software, and i'm looking for reccomendations.

I have a 4870 1gb sapphire card, and a Q6600 kentsfield intel quad.

No.. Just no. OCing the CPU in Windows has always been finicky at best. For some people it works, but others get BSODs instantly. Just use the BIOS, it works great. If your BIOS has no overclocking options then you probably shouldn't attempt it anyway.

You get to buy a brand new pc sooner. Becuase you wear out your old CPU due to heat.

Or you can clandestinely underclock it after a few months and RMA it under warranty.
