General Informations
Both of those games are MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) with a fantasy ambient. Darkfall is Live. Mortal Online is currently in Alpha test phase. Because of that, many features about Mortal Online are not known yet.
Features of DF that MO might not have (we don't know them all yet)

I will give MO a try. But to me DF got the perfect formula. There are some changes that we can make here and there. I guess we will see based on MO which set of features works better. From what I seen from DF I am satisfied.

Comparing a game that is failing vs a game that isn't out but will still fail = no interest. Hope that cleared things up.

you cant compare a released game to a game who has absolutely no ingame footage. right now all mortal is, is a bunch of words. the devs dont even know anything about how they are going to set up their servers to run on unreal engine without instancing or huge ammounts of servers, aka AOC. the game will be nothing like darkfall, okay?
mortal online is still at least a year away. the only thing they have is a CG trailer, and a bunch of shopped photos.
they even have auto aim spells WTF?!!? carebear game.
mortal = darkfall lite.

Must say Mortal had a pretty cool teaser. I doubt it was ingame footage though.

How exactly is Darkfall failing? (Other than failing to deliver some of its promises, which doesn't really fit the "failing" mold IMO.)

They're using UE3 engine so there's a chance it's ingame footage. ;)

Why do I always end up following projects that either
a) don't deliver
b) deliver, but don't give me what I want
c) deliver, give me what I wanted, but still manage to suck balls
or d) deliver, give me what I wanted, actually end up being fun, but then suck after a couple of patches or shitty developer tweaks
