Unable to get past character creation

So I got an account today, patched the game, logged in, can get all the way to the first/last name screen and when I click next, nothing happens.

I've tried exiting the game and trying again, installing on another computer, same thing each time. Anyone have any ideas?

Hmm, are all your video drivers updated? Have you also tried resetting your computer? I don't have a copy so I don't know if these things would work, but maybe try updating your drivers or something? Do you meet the system requirements?

I tried reset the computer, just reinsalled the OS and drivers yesterday.

Hmmm, did you try deleting/making a new character? I duno what to suggest either :-/..

But seriously, hope you can get it figured out, seems the darkfall team is busy doing other things at the moment and are not able to assist with game related problems. Maybe after the next patch it will work for ya?

I can't even get a character created because I can't get past this last screen =p. I asked about it in IRC and someone sent me a "Bugfix.exe" saying it'll fix the issue... Virus scanned says it's a trojin... Not sure I should use that Bugfix.

NVIDIA release a GFX driver yesterday, if your using NVIDIA, give that a try?

Dont panic mind you, most of the tech problems people are having is simply drivers, and not that your comp cant handle it.

Just found a workaround. Put the game in fullscree mode at 1920 res. Worked fine after I did this.

When i created my char first i hade to wait a looong time before something happend

I had this same problem. I had to Ctrl Alt Delete to Task Manager & close the game. I re-opened Darkfall and was able to create my character. Maybe it was because I took to long creating my character?

I started the game in 1920x1200 resolution and as much as I pressed the "next" button on the last stage of character creation it wouldn't pass. However I noticed the slightly buggy looking bit just above the "next" button so I decided to set my resolution to 1024x768 or 1280x1024, can't remember which. Doesn't really matter. At least it worked :) The next time I was satisfied with my character the "next" button gladly accepted my mouse tap and went through.

hey, not sure if i missed something but are you trying to make a char with the same race each time. I know when i first tried to make a human i had that same problem, so i went an tried to make an ork and it went in quick.

Just make the character twice in a row. This has happen to me before. The starting map doesn't show for some reason. If you do it twice back to back it works.

Looks like changing the resolution around works. I changed it from 800x600 windowed, to 1024x768 full screen and was able to click the next button at the name creation screen.
