I figured that while we're waiting to buy Darkfall it would be fun to make a thread where everyone could post their most funny MMO experience. I'll get the ball rolling...
My funniest story happened just when I was beginning to graduate from newbdom in UO. I was mining for ore in a cave, trying to raise my strength, when a more experienced player in full plate appeared. Initially I was cautious, but he just began to mine next to me and started up a conversation. He told me that he's been mining and smithing forever and that he wanted to help me out since I was new. He told me that he had a full suit of grandmaster plate mail at his vendor and said if I followed him to his vendor I could have it.
At this point I was like...SWEET. So I followed him to his house, and he invited me in. After inviting me in, he said something like "Place garbage can," and the next thing I knew, I was trapped inside his house behind an immovable garbage can. He then proceeded to hack me to death with his Halberd, and subsequently loot all of my ore when I died.
When I finally came back as a ghost, all I could say was "LOL," which he undoubtedly saw as "oOo...."
