Someone who doesn't know much about the game (hypothetically). Most new players from mid 2008 - now usually ask REALLY stupid questions, and have come only because of the beta. That pretty much sums it up really. So if someone calls you a stupid 09er it just means that they have the need to exercise their superior join date. There have been some bans though so some 08ers and 09ers are actually alt accounts to older members.

Summary: The only thing 09er means is your join date, it shows your noobishness, not really intelligence, just that you are new to the game.

This has to be the most middle-school childish form of judgment I've ever seen. I've had an eye on Darkfall since about 03-04. The game was a great idea then but like many MMO's that had great ideas at that time, it was easy to assume Darkfall was another scam.

The developers were always tight-lipped, and up until about a year ago Darkfall seemed like nothing more then a dream. Fans watched a never updated webpage with a message board filled with dreamers who talked about made up ideals on a game they wanted to believed existed. I was busy playing different MMO's for all those years, rather then gossiping on a message board...

Props to the hardcore fans who have supported this game all the way. And thank god for the new people who show up everyday to support this game no matter how unwelcome some old members try and make them feel.
