View Full Version : If They Die Grey, They Should Stay Grey...

I've been a victim of the whole MM spam, go grey, then as I'm performing the finishing gank the naked tardling goes grey and costs me faction for the kill.

Happened again later at the kobolds where a pair was hitting me; one hit me once too often and I decided to take him out. I killed him, then chased his friend off. By the time I returned to perform the gank, the guy on the ground turned blue. I did it anyways and went to the orc lands to work off the faction.

I believe it would be better for all if a person dying grey has that grey-to-blue timer turned off.

I agree. Although, if someone is gray, they shouldnt revive gray or something like that.

Rouge time is rouge time. Not more or less. You should stop ganking blues if you don't want negative alignment.

What's even worse is when they turn blue RIGHT when your gank skill goes off =\

did you even read his post? he lost alignment from ganking someone who was grey when he killed them, but blue when he ganked them.

I agree with the OP.

I still think it's lame that if a blue attacks you and goes grey, and you decide to fight them back, that you have to be grey also because you defended yourself against a grey... we suppose to be able to kill them within that 10 second window?

Not only that, if he goes BLUE before you gank, or if he goes blue during the default timer, you'll suffer the faction hit.

Had a naked caster do this to me. He hit me and I hit back. He died and released. Hit the 'do not forgive' button when he was blue and I took the faction hit.

I agree, I hate the tiny window. All I get to do is smack them back once. Carelessness should require a longer penalty. If someone goes rogue they should not lose rogue status until they are no longer being hit + 10seconds. Perhaps this isn't the best answer to the problem, but I definately do not like the way it is right now. I am fighting a monster, then some real dude hits me, so I still have to kill the monster and now I have to deal with this other real player. Then if I wait to deal with the real player he/she sees how close the monster is to dying so they stop hitting me, then they go blue and I can't get revenge. I could equally be a butthead, and I am on occassion, so I don't want to carebear the system, I want to expand the revenge aspect.

The 10second window should hold for spectators, but the victim should get a larger window to seek revenge.

Definately agree. Also reviving a gray should make you gray.

actually LIKE IT the way it is!

there is a reason for this. Some guys accidentaly hit others so the way it is it will make you reconsider if u ll gain anything to GANG that guy who lagged.. if you act like a "Punisher" who trys to kill anyone that is grey even for 10" yes it will cost you for the ganking...

id say it depends, if person hits you more then 2 times he should stay grey, if he only hits u 1 or 2 times he should become blue when timer runs out.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post and voted until I got the gist of what you meant. I agree. If you kill someone gray, you should remain gray until you actually die.

This is, IMO, clearly a bug. I would report it.

Right, red time is red time.

Rouge is French for red. Has nothing to do with rogues.

Just because you got rouge by hitting some1 "accidentally" you should stay rouge when you die. I like lvling my gank up but what i don't like is just about to gank u u turn blue.
AIM BETTER and u wont get rouge; u obviously got rouge cuz there was 2 many people killing same mob as u and some1 had to die for the camp to have less people.
