The tale of the one known only as the Fallen Knight is a sad one indeed. The Knight is doomed to walk the surface of the world without peace as long as a Demon calling himself the Dark One holds the deed to his soul, and to walk for eternity for the crime of murder, the murder of his own beloved.

The Knight fell in love with a fair Elvan Princess, and the princess with him. But being human, he knew that he could never be with her. Years passed as the two were forced to keep their distance in public life, hiding their feeling for one another, and meeting secretly and infrequently. During this time, The one known as the Fallen Knight was but a squire in the service of a Human lord, and was forced to take longer and longer trips away from his beloved. But no matter the distance between them, they always found their way to eachother again. But as the years wore on, The then-Squire could no longer stand to be away from her. Every day without her tore at his soul, and the Squire thought constantly of his next visit to his beloved.

One day, while conversing with Several Elvan merchants, The Squire learned that his beloved would soon come upon the age at which her parents would marry her to a fair elvan prince. The Squire, overcome with grief, abandoned his post within the city's walls, and taking up His Lord's sword and shield, marched for a fort-night without rest to the Elvan city to claim his beloved. But the parent's of the Elvan girl, knowing full well of the relations between the two, sent a group of hired bandits to waylay the Squire. The Squire had not come within a mountain's view of the city when he was set upon by the bandits, and after being overpowered he was bound and gagged, and then transported under cover of night to a secluded jail where the parents intended on keeping him until after the ceremony. The parents presented a forged letter from the Squire to the girl, telling her that the Squire had been called away to war, and that The Squire did not wan ther to wait for him, as he would not come back. The Girl was overcome with grief, but believing the letter to be truely from her beloved, agreed to the marriage arranged by her parents.

The Squire, fearing all to be lost as he lay trapped within the cold, black jail, called out into the darkness, offering his soul that he may stop the marriage and have his love as his own. A dark soul was listening that day, and answered the Squire from the void. The Dark One, who would not divulge his true name, offered the Squire both his beloved and wealth with which to please her, if only he would steal but a simply fragment of parchment from a storehouse within the walls of the city. The Squire, despration overtaking him, hastily agreed to this exchange and signed a parchment summoned from thin air with his own blood. The Dark One gave the Squire armor, blackened as if by some strange magic and as light as cloth, with a full helmet reveiling only his eyes. The Dark One also presented him with a giant sword, the blade of which was 2 hands across and 15 hands long, and being a mere inch thick. The Dark One then spoke to the Squire, telling him that this blade alone would break the seal upon the door to the storehouse, and that a guardian would defend the fragment, this guardian would have to be defeated for the Dark One to take the fragment. The Dark One then summoned forth a fellbeast, and ordered it to free the Squire and accompany him to the storehouse.

The Squire, donning his new armor and hefting the large sword across his back, began walking towards the city, fellbeast in tow. Night was falling as the Squire reached the city, and the armor given to him by the Dark One covered him so completely that the Ranger sentries did not detect him walk past them, the Fellbeast, seeming to be under the same enchantment, continued to follow, passing guards and the occasional ranger who still wandered the streets. The Squire approached the storehouse, situated near the middle of the city, when the Fellbeast that had up until this point followed him dissolved into the ground as if it was nothing more than a shadow.

The Squire pulled a necklace out of his armor, admiring it in the litle moonlight that remained casting its shadows over the darkness of this fated night. The necklace was simple, the whitest silver, holding a Large stone wrapped in wire that seemed to glow a soft green light barely visible, almost as if the life of the stone had been exhausted. Buteven though the stone glowed only lightly, he treasured it, it had been given to him by his beloved. She had called it her most precious possession, an heirloom passed down through many generations in her family. The Squire remembered then, that he had given her a gift in return. The only item he could offer her, a mithral ring, ornately carved with an old human script upon its inside for which there was no translation. The Squire replaced the necklace, knowing that he would see his beloved soon, no matter the cost.

This is only the first draft and its really late at night so excuse any mistakes, plus only the first draft. This is missing the specifics, and I know that the Elves are called something different but recall that I'm not aging very fast so this is going to have taken place a while ago, (note im not immortal i just dont age so dont say im making my rp character too strong, you'll see my big flaws by the time I finish)

I intentionally left you guys hanging so maybe some of you will post about it and be interested in it. Yes its long but for christ sake im doing my rp the right way if i'm going to spend my tiem on it. And you can post idea for more and the end of the story and all but I already know one event that will happen and the exact way it will happen so.......you'll just have to wait becuase i'm not posting the rest until Darktar reads it and I get non-lazy enough to rewrite this into the extended story with proper conversation.

Just hoping to get a little POSITIVE AND OR CONSTRUCTIVE Feedback.

well, i like it, great groundwork, if you flesh it out you could probably get an interesting book out of it..
but I really hate being left hanging, doesnt get my attention, just pisses me off enough that I lose interest usually.

Yeah Im gonna start working on it, but After discussing with the guild I intend on rping with (DONT LAUGH) I am considering apporachign the story from more than one perspective, and now there are TWO twists I have in store for ya! I might try to get some work done tomorrow after I get my new car insurance and clean house.I've got several ideas Im gonna get on paper. The Guildies are really interesting in the Dark one so I pla on elaborating greatly on his role in the story, for their benefit and to flesh out other characters. The Knight is no longer going to be the SOLE main character, I've decided on a certain timeline and progression of the story that wil have the knight as the primary focus for a large section of teh story but I plan on focusing more on certain other aspects.

Feel free to ofer suggestiong or names, or weapons items, places, descriptions you name it, you might get lucky enough for me to use it in the story.
]
I've also decided on the openning text for the story already, I don't know who said it because on my collage i kinda cut out the quote part but here it is. infer what you will. (and tell me if you know the person to quote, unfortunately i myself did not come up wiht something this cool)

I am not driven by hatred,
I am not driven by fear,
I am not driven by desire,
Duty, or any rationale,
I can no longer feel any of these.

All that remains is
Retribution;
Cold and hard and final...

Why the hell did you necro this?

Keep this kind of shit (necroing) out of the RP forum.

Why should we keep necroing out? I'm thinking that we should have a necro RP... Although I will admit that Iggy's choice in which was necro'd was a bit lacking. Vampiric irony?
