Mandrake Herbs?

I am doing the starter quest to find Mandrake herbs. However, I can't find a single bush anywhere near the Alfar starting town (Arkanos). I have searched all around where the area that is marked on the mini map with no luck. Anyone know where I should go?

I'm not really familiar with the surroundings of Arkanos, so I can't really help you there. Do you know what to look for though? Usually, gathering plants aren't too far from the starter towns.

Look harder, there's always a bush in starter towns.

There is ton of bushed outside the towns just look harder.

Just wait till you try to get yourself some steedgrass for your mount.

Are you sure theres no bushes? at first, I couldnt really tell what a "bush" was... its anything thats not a large tree, really. The trick is to equip the sickle, unsheath it, then run up to the bush/tree looking thing, and aim at the base of the plant... by the ground. Then the option should show up for harvest.
