WASHINGTON — The Obama administration put the nation’s biggest banks on notice Monday that the government could become their biggest shareholder if regulators decide they are not strong enough to weather a deeper-than-expected downturn in the economy.

wtf. picking the board of financial institutions?

who the fuck makes that decision? they already get to be the deciding factor in funding and OK'ing mergers.

how can this possibly be a good idea? an appointed official (or group of them) making this decision for the american people?

This whole economic crisis is being exploited by the government to take away the freedom.. see when people are hungry and in need of an answer they will listen to just about anything they are told, Hitler anyone? Then the government steps in with its "solutions" and instead of riots and protests people just sit at home and figure that the government knows best.

All the government has to do is give it a spiffy name like "patriot act" and say its to fight the terrorists. Nobody in there right mind would say "what the fuck your gonna tap my phones without cause, just cause you feel like it?" instead we grab our ankles and say harder please. Cause what would us poor citizens do without the government to tell us whats right and whats wrong?

And truthfully why wouldn't the government do this? Can we blame them who wouldn't want more power. Once they have more control then guess what its even harder to stand against them.

The problem is if you see anything wrong with this, people will call you a conspiracy nut and talk about how great Obama is. His silver tongue drew in idiots like flys to a bug zapper.
