Well,
I guess we're not even allowed to mention Tasos in posts that are actually praising him and his work with Darkfall anymore.... I started a thread showing that Tasos is doing a better job than we give him credit for...and it was closed by the Moderators before it even got one view! I mean, they must have had their finger on the button and as soon as I hit "submit thread" they hit "Close Thread"...
In a forum where we have users posting about whether McCain or Obama has the bigger e-peen, or if the Government of the USA will fall in 2009, 2010, 2011, or..and I quote option D..."BEWBS".... and their posts are never closed and have many views and replies...it would stand to reason that a well thought out thread proving that Tasos is not a ghost to these forums and is actually quite communicative with the fanbase, and urging fellow users to show some patience, would not be insta-closed.... All I can assume is that I used the improper forum (Advanced Darkfall Discussions) to start such a thread....so I've moved it to "Off Topic" in hopes of keeping more in line with the Forum usage policy... Anyhow, here's the original thread:
Give Tasos a Break!!
Guys,
Tasos has 86 posts on these forums.... Thats a LOT more than many of you. The game has been in development for nearly 7 years, so lets assume that Tasos works 5 days a week (thats 1,820 work days). Now, lets substract probably 3 weeks of paid vacation (15 working days) and perhaps 10 paid holidays (10 work days....). That leaves 1,795 working days for Tasos since AV began work on Darkfall.
Ok, so now lets divide Tasos' working days by the amount of his posts (1,795 / 86). This tells us that Tasos posts (on average) about every 21 days. Now, I DEFY you to find a development VIP for ANY game (besides Mark Jacobs...you can't get that guy out of the forums...) that communicates with the fans this much.
His last post was Jan. 25th....21 days after that is February 15th. I know he's a little behind his usual schedule...but damn guys. I'm sure he's working his ass off to provide us with the BEST possible game he can, as soon as he can. We are due for a post from Tasos any day now, whether the game was coming out this month or not, as he is more than likely to have posted around this time regardless of any release dates.
Give him a few more days...when we get to the 23 or so with no news...then we can start to be pissed
