Personally, it has to be a bit aged Cabernet Sauvignon. As for dessert wines, I'd have to go with something I just recently discovered, KODA, a premium dessert wine with natural chocolate flavors.

How about you?

St. Emilion Grand Cru 1986 - can't go wrong.

Olivier Pere et Fils is my favorite vinyard though. They make burgundy wines.

I never remeber the names, generally I prefer dry red wines. I have thrown up way to many times and way to much on way to many odd places following sweet white wines so I tend to stay away from them if I ever contemplate any kind of drinking. As for desserts, well a nice Port whine is never wrong although I prefer liquére for it.

I'm still learning my wines, but right now I'm sipping on Californian Nappa Valley and it's better then what I tried before.

Who the fuck drinks wine?

Could you gentleman stop derailing my thread? I'm interested in what Forumfallers enjoy as their wine, white, red or dessert. I'm trying to educate myself and try new and better tastes.

At some age, you must start learning what's good and appropriate to be able to have a leveled relationship with your colleagues, proper women, and business associates.

Wine for me is best served as a situational delicacy. A holiday treat of some sorts.

Perfect example of what I am speaking of. You are not required to drink wine all the time, but it's appropriate and looked better upon if you know your taste when in a right situation.

For holidays? I used to enjoy warmed up dessert red wine with spices and cinnamon. I'll try something different this year.

back then you had to drink wine because the water would often give you dysentary and or typhoid.... both of which could kill you. They did it for survival reasons...

that and who doesnt like to get drunk....

now we have arrowhead so....

Hey they could just have drunk beer like my ancestors. If survival was behind it all then they didn't have to drink the wine.

Edit: Oh by the way I forgot. The Varangian Guard was infamous for the amount of wine they would drink, they were also infamous for being brutal bastards that fucked up their enemies shit and famous for being hardcore loyal to the Byzantine Emperor.

I don't drink wine unless it costs £3.99, and comes in a brown paper bag. I then roam the streets talking about how my wife left me
