Gregg cited "irresolvable conflicts" with Obama's handling of the economic stimulus and 2010 census in a statement released without warning by his Senate office.

"It comes as something of a surprise, because the truth, you know, Mr. Gregg approached us with interest and seemed enthusiastic,"

Sounds more like he didn't get to have his way and is crying like a spoiled brat.

Considering the last two guys had corruption brought into light, I hardly see this as an evaluation of the stimulus bill. Throw in the idea that only 3 republicans agree while enough democrats agreed to just pass the thing, doesn't make me think they are making a stand on the stimulus, but just being spiteful bastards.

A day after Gregg's nomination had been announced, the AP reported that a former staffer was under criminal investigation for allegedly taking baseball and hockey tickets from a lobbyist in exchange for legislative favors while working for Gregg.

Boy....corruption....thats not surprising.
