Asch's Conformity Experiment.

I have some free-time and a few friends. Does Forumfall think I should waste some time with doing this experiment--or a variation of--and comparing our results with the ones done in the 1950s?

Also, we could change the experiment a bit so we could include groups of ones mostly composed of females, partially composed of females, and those of different ethnicity.

I did think of the idea that instead of doing a "perception test" we could do some thing along the lines of "which person in this picture is attractive/different".

Should I do it Forumfall? Or maybe should we do a test that is much easier... This test would take a lot of time that would preferably be spent lazying about my house eating junk-food and getting fat.

Give it a shot, then post it, would really be interesting to see a new and tweaked version. And ya make it as diverse as possible. Maybe see what happens in the "partner experiment" if the only one agreeing with the other guy is a woman or of a different ethnicity, may increase it, may decrease it.

On the test with women, it has been done. It doesn't matter the ethnicity, women tend to find a man more attractive if other women find him attractive too. There was a discussion about this in the "Science of Sex Appeal" thread.

You could try other things besides attractiveness. Use religion and conformity. Now that would be interesting.
