Shittttttt i'm really old schol. I use the up,down, left,right arrows with my left hand... and I'm righthanded so I use the palm of my hand to press the spacebar. I know it's awful, yet I'm used to it.

EDIT: While typing, that is. In games I don't use it at all. I use the arrow keys because I'm oldskool like that. MOUSE3 is my jump button in games. I am a master of duckjump, all you infidels using the keyboard to jump can't come close to my ultra accurate instant duckjumpage.

Then again I also type kinda funny. My left pinky is completely unused and my right pinky is used almost exclusively for backspace (which my ring finger usually does anyway).

If you ever played games like CSS, pressing space while controlling the WASD and having full control over mouse can only really be done if you jump with left thumb.

Edit: I just noticed, when I type my spacebar pressing shifts between left thumb and right index naturally depending on what letter I end the word with. I just never realise it, but it is kind of hard to type if you are thinking about what you will use to press space while actually typing, you kinda half to not think about it to actually type faster.
