Xbox 360 "open tray" problem

I bought an xbox 360 off a guy over an internet site. It's flashed so it can play backups.

I ran Skate 2 for about 5 minutes then a error message popped up saying something along the lines of "cannot read the disk, clean it".

I restarted the 360 and Skate 2 ran for about 20 seconds until the same occured.

The third time I restarted I never got past the dashboard. It said "reading" then after about 30 seconds it said "open tray" (as in "press X to open the tray) IE it cannot read the disk.

I tried with 9 other backup games and none of them worked.

Halloween DVD did not work either, same problem.

Music CD's works though


I'm crying here. I've searched the internet for several hours and nothing so far has worked, I can't open the 360 either. I don't have the tools or skills

Dont buy flashed consoles from people on the internet.

He sold you an Xbox with a defective DVD Drive. That's about a 60 dollar fix if you do it yourself or bring it to a local game shop to repair.

Ok so, does most large-chain game retailers fix these or do I have to find a "alternative" shop? It does not have a warranty left as far as I can see too, no sticker
