It's no joke that UO was the most adrenaline filled MMO due to PKing, Full looting etc... No other game had my heart pumping like the oldschool Ultima Online. I realize this is partly because I was an adolescent during the majority of my career, however it would still get me going today... just maybe without the tears:P
One time I dropped my BB sandals from a lag spike in Bucs den... some random dude picked em up. I immediately start freaking out and clawing my face off because If I remember correctly this was the time period where they were so rare to find, especially blessed ones. He pulled my chain for a good 5 minutes before giving them back to me because he told me if it ever happened to him... he would be going insane ;P IDK why, but I was most proud of those and my neon hair (bottle dye) on my char.
There was also a time where I took a long break and my old L shaped Tudor collapsed (couldnt get the L shaped tudors anymore) and allllll my stuff was gone =/ I think this was what made me quit... oh well!!! great memories

I formed this relationship with this girl in game. We had been great friends for a long time, we finally meet up and shes a horse in disguise. My heart pounded as i ran from that ugly animal!

Every fight I've ever been in on UO. But, for the most part, I can't remember all of them but I do recall one that was particularly difficult to pull off and I was lucky.
I fought three mages outside the Buccaneer's Den portal back to the mainland with my stealth assassin. They had recently killed some noob miner and were lolling as they res-killed, then one of them ran into something a couple times and had no stamina. So I casually left a few normal and a few poisoned fish steaks on the ground. Well! as the one munched them down, the other two ran over. They all began eating these fish steaks and all got DP poisoned. Well, seeing how amazing of an opportunity this was, I attacked the closest one, just fucking pwning him with one shot due to poison having diminished his health. The other two go "OH FUCK" and both cast Corp Por, to which I immediately stealth. Well, like an idiot, they both cast reveal on where I was, and I show up right behind both of them. With no mana of my own, but, plenty of dex and strength I slaughter both of them in a short amount of time. I had a vanquishing scimitar so it hit fairly hard and really fast. One of them was really fast, though, and managed to fire off a flamestrike before I could retaliate. I almost died, but, I did manage to fuck his day up by running really fast over to him while he was casting and managed to interrupt and finally kill him after a small chase.
I laughed a mighty, Arabic laugh and ran back to Skara Brae with all their loot. When they came back, all that was left on their bodies was some apples.
The fruit of wisdom.
The fruit of wisdom.
Nice story indeed.

I sure do, do you remember Dr. Biggs?
Not that Bojangles was a rare name by any means, but I do recall playing with a bojangles a few times.

Hah. Reminds me of the time I went 2v1 on a Tamer/Bard and won. Provoking dragons onto people is fun.
Most heartpounding? My uncle and I were doing a bit of house looting. We stealthed in behind a guy who just went into his house. We begin the looting. About a minute later, someone recalls in at the doorstep. Probably the guy's alt. He tries to get it, but my uncle slams the door in his face. They go at it for a solid five minutes; him opening the door, my uncle closing it. I finally finish looting. Lo and behold... No mandrake root. This was before runebooks, too. Uh ohhhh. My uncle lets the guy run in, we run back, then turn around and bolt for the door. A chase ensues, but we end up getting away. Yay varily.

For me it was definitely the invasion of the lich king. When he was actually played by a dev. I just thought that was so cool! And wasn't thinking in my excitement and new to using magic. So... I ran up to him and mind-blasted him, knowing I couldn't kill him, but charging up to him anyways.
And as you UO vets probably know, the formula for mind blast was (Your Int - Their Int) Divided by 10. So, I was thinking I was being pretty cool, running up to him and smacking him.. until the mind blast spell killed me instantly! lol
I laughed so hard. That's my most memorable moment, not necessarily heart-pounding as it was over pretty quick...

I played on Europa for 3-4 years
When they opened up Felucca and made the original lands carebear Trammel I bought myself a house deed in the hope to get a nice spot near a big pvp area.
I loved to PK and loot at the Britain Cross Roads and it was the dream choice, the ability to place houses was going to be switched on at a certain time (6pm i think) that day so I ran up there and waited. Must have been about 20 players with the same idea, i picked a spot with 6 other people right on the actual cross roads fork and watched the time tick down.
It literally came down to my ping vs the ping of 6 others, whoever got their house deed in place at the exact moment it went live got one of the best housing positions in the game, which also multiplied the value of the house by 10! Luckily as some players were still running 56k modems back then I got the spot. The server was jolting people could barely move but at that moment when my log cabin appeared I danced around the room.
This was then followed of around 6 months of running out of the front door, swinging my warhammer at passers by, looting and running back to the house, or 'inviting' those in need of a heal to the safety of my home and burning them in the living room :-)
