If DFO fails will you continue to follow MMOs?

I feel that starting off with UO was both great and a curse. I got 2 1/2 amazing years out of that game and nothing else has come close.

Of course nothing I play now re-kindles that magic and I can't stick with any new game.

I about gave up on mmos until Darkfall finally seemed like it may be a possibility after all these years of false promises. I question whether I will continue to actively follow the genre if this game tanks. I'm curious what everyone else thinks?

I don't believe any mmo could ever compete with UO so that's why i still play it and don't expect much of the new mmos coming out, but who knows...

that said, no game since it has been able to really hold my attention for very long. Level grinds, skill trees, non-interactive environments and lack of casual gaming support makes most modern MMORPGS completely unrealistic for a guy like me. I miss UO. :( 30mins - 1 hour a day i could get a lot accomplished and get in some insane fights.

Any game can fail for numerous reasons. too many people with not enough servers. possible network problems unforseen. bugs, exploits that are not patched hastily. tremendous imbalance in power between styles, PKing too easy/guards being useless. unabalanced siege and resource distribution, grind taking too long. etc.
