Need a DECENT free MMO...

find an established guild to sub to and get leveled/geared and ready for PvP in a few days (less if the other guild is decent)...then figure it out

you can be end game and PvP ready in less than a week...what could it hurt?

and until DF comes out, it is still THE only PvP game that matters, with EVE a close second

Wow, Runes of magic looks pretty good for a free mmo. It looks just like WoW, and I know you probably all think that's a bad thing but lets put it in perspective.

Its a free game without much advertising that as far as I can tell is not from a Big name game company and its just like WoW.

Think of all the other games that are just like WoW that you have to pay for and came from big companies *cough* Warhammer *cough*

If a free mmo I had never heard of before can be a WoW clone, then that's impressive as most of them are Korean clones and all different re-skins of the same game.

I've never played a free MMO... but I've consistently heard that Archlord is as close as free MMOs get to being good enough to charge money, while still being sufficiently shitty that such a venture would fail horribly.

Atlantica is free and rather original: instead of mashing buttons, you go recruit mercenaries and fight battle in turn based mode, like in the Disciples series.

I didn't have much time to try it throughly, but I found it fun so far. The level up seems odd, as it makes coming back even harder (but at least, I guess it helps terminate a defeated foe faster).

Well archlord WAS p2p once, and that's what I did. Paid 40$ or so for it...
