Either a Warhammer 40K MMO or Starcraft MMO
the mmo market is in serious need of a real powerhouse sci-fi game, since EVE is all ships and doesn't really lend itself to character building.
I think that a Starcraft MMO would rival WoW in terms of numbers of subscribers, and with Starcraft comes all of those crazy Korean e-sport players.

Star Wars Galaxies would be nice.

Starcraft would be more like a WoW sequel and a 40k would be equally terrible.

please explain why a 40k MMO would be so horrible?
I rather they didn't make em, those are my thoughts.
If the piss al over the SC lore they can just go fuck'em self, I don't care for warcraft.

If they did a 40k game that was something along the lines of Guild Wars, it would be pretty epic.

I think a Starcraft MMOFPS would be cool but I have a hard time seeing it being any more sophiscated than something like Halo due to their policy of appealing to the least common denominator.

I'd only be interested if they were MMOFPSs, or even attempts at a MMORTS.

Warhammer 40k MMO has to be done right. Watch the intro cinematic to Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II, it's an RTS, but conveys perfectly the spirit of the world. I feel WAR by Mythic failed to convey the pure, seething evil that inhabits that world. I played as Chaos, and they weren't chaosy, or threatening to even the tiniest degree. But if done right, the Warhammer 40K MMO could be something.
Starcraft MMO is very likely to happen, because I'm pretty sure that with release of SC2 the RTS game, Blizzard will have milked the franchise in RTS market enough, and it would be time to use it elsewhere. They did it with Warcraft and WoW, they will probably do it with Starcraft as well. Seeing as Blizzard are smart, well founded boys, the MMO will be a smashing success, even if it is just a WoW clone with new skins and a few superficial changes.
Both sound good right now. Though after Darkfall, my money is on Mortal and possibly Earthrise, I just like the "clean" post apocalyptic setting, as opposed to the "dirty" atomic wasteland, which is more common.
Ive always wanted an SC mmo, but seeing what blizzard did to the warcraft franchise really isn't to encouraging.

Yup. A 40k MMO would be awesome if done correctly. If anyone here has been around long enough (And was a big enough fan) to have played Battletech:3025, imagine that exact same game, but with the 40k universe.

no doubt that mythic drastically undershot the sheer brutality of WAR. I totally agree that a 40k MMO would have to be nearly flawless, and most definitely M rated. Most MMOs today are pretty kind, but the worlds they're set in seem to be a direct contradiction to the major part of the game: it's a fuckin' hard knock life to be a space marine, and you better suck it the hell up or else an ork is gonna smash your face in.
SC mmo i see as more realistically happening and being successful, but still they'll probably carebear it to death and ruin Starcraft for everyone.

Warhammer 40k MMO is under development by THQ, the same company that did the Dawn of War RTS.
