This has been already done. Anyway, the trend among the new MMORPGs is to start with a few weeks peak and start going downhill from that point.

It might be better to start out quiet and and build a strong fanbase over time. To be honest, this might be what Aventurine is aiming at with the lack of power advertising.

WAR is taking a nose dive. They combine servers on a regular basis. If they dont add even the most basic rvr features from DAOC to the game soon they will be at 10 servers or less.
