Does anyone believe that things that are used a lot, or have a lot of 'thought' put into them (Antiques, roads, cities, old houses, etc..) have spirits?
I thought I read somewhere that this was a religion or belief, but don't know what it's called. Anyone know?

I think the word you're looking for is "Animism".
Reminds me of Aristotle's shit.

cities... have spirits?
My city screams; she is my mother, she is my lover... and I am her spirit.
Is this what we are talking about?

I think living things do, or at least the ones that we can detect a consciousness in. I doubt things without a consciousness could have a "spirit".

Yeah, nothing as evil as humanity could claim to have something "higher and nobler" in them.
I'm serious. We suck way to hard to have souls.

So...having a spirit = consciousness? What's the difference?
Yeah, nothing as evil as humanity could claim to have something "higher and nobler" in them.

Maybe for you, but for me it has nothing to do with morals. We are flesh, nothing more, nothing less. There's no form of transcendence. People just like to give themselves that entitlement out of fear.
