I think I'll download it tomorrow and play around with it. I have 4gb of 1066 DDR2 and a DVD burner in the mail. I was planning on giving Vista another try, but maybe I'll skip that and try 7.

MS usually has an informal policy of actually releasing a decent OS after they release a failure, so 7 should be pretty good.

Well, I read that the beta versions of Windows 7 will expire around August of this year, so I'd like to think not too long after that.

Yeah im loading this up tomorrow. I wonder if Darkfall will run on Win 7. Ive read some solid reviews about its new graphics acceleration software. Supposed work really well in conjunction with graphics acceleration hardware. They ran a test with win 7, a I7 processor and onboard graphics and were able to play crysis on normal settings at 30fps.

The Alpha version on my machine did not even have the correct NIC drivers.
